Southern SARE Awards Leadership Funding for Turmeric Education Video

Southern SARE (Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education) supports the family farm, promotes conservation, and strengthens communities through sustainable agriculture strategies. One of these ways is through awarding money through grants, research projects and leadership programs.

In early 2024 the organization awarded Bloodfire Orchards and Heather Fritz $3,000 to make a five minute educational video on turmeric. That project will complete in July 2024. Stay tuned to learn more and watch this video to learn more about turmeric and how to grow this amazing medicinal rhizome.
