Storage Tips
Its been my experience that fresh dried turmeric likes to stay dry and cool.
I keep it on the counter or hanging in a cotton mesh bag in the kitchen or cabinet; I keep my house at 72 degrees.
The refridgerator seems to have too much humidity or moisture and mine has rotted in this environment.
You can break it into smaller pieces and freeze it and pull a piece out every day. Or grate it and put in ice trays with some water and freeze for cubes of fresh turmeric for teas and food. And you can always dehydrate it and grind into powder for a long shelf life and small particles to inflitrate your dishes.
